A garden.

I did some 'table gardening' the other day, dreaming
about my future garden (about six square metre terrace:-)
I'm planning to grow herbs and ruccola and tomatos
and spinach etc... and flowers of course.
I also bought a nice book about gardening.

The carnivorous on the first photo is producing new traps,
they look pretty alien and remind me a bit on the cordiceps fungus,
infecting an ant.

That's me on the second pic, changing the water for my guppies.

Some stripes.

Some more linen samples in plain weave; I sorted
out the striped ones for this post.
The crocheted detail is a cushion.
from the same series as Traditional Japanese Small Motif.
I will show more photos in another post.
Have a nice weekend everybody :-)

Spring is in the air!

I'm waiting for the first insect that will pop in my room :-)

The first and bottom are fly-designs I once made
for a reason I can't remember; the other pattern comes
from the interior of an old cardboard suitcase.

It was warm today.
Sweet dreams :-)

( by the way, does anybody know that silly joke
'spring is in the air'? )

Apartment.

I went to see an appartment this morning.
I'll take it!

Elliot Erwitt, summer patchwork, white wax flower.
I'm super happy for the appartment :-)

fruitbowl.

I worked on some cushions today, they all need
a lining, this one looks pretty art deco, I mean the
colours.
The little painting on the wall is made by
Ruth Van Haren Noman.
more photos here.

Have a nice weekend everybody!

Saturday

I made some changes in my room to create more space;
the table is now where the bed was and visa versa.
I would be very pleased if i could find a larger and more
convenient appartment before the end of the summer.
Until now i sleep and work in the same room, so if one
could live from dust alone, I probably don't have to eat
anymore for the rest of my life :-)
The Minä Perhonen exhibition from last week really
revived my love for textile design and weaving.
That's why I was reorganizing boxes and looking at textiles today.
The circle design was made by a friend, painted on silk
by me afterwards.
The bottom pic is a silk top in the making, hope I will
finally finish it this year :-)
what about the appartment, any tip is welcome :-)
