pink, fluorescent orange & yellow, silver and gold are her favorites, very predictably for a seven-year :^)
some parts of her bobbin construction are still on my desk
Oh, how lovely! I'm 25 and I've only recently become obsessed with woven pieces. My boyfriend made a lap loom for me and I can't wait to get started. Hopefully it looks as good as Billie's, but my hopes aren't quite so high!
I've tried this myself but don't know how to get it so it doesn't unravel? I can't "cast off" without it all falling apart. Am I supposed to wrap the sides when I weave each layer?
Cool! How old is she? My 6 years old would not get it together. I did though, as a kid. We actually rediscovered a started woven piece at my parent's house this Easter, my mum made it. She was also learning.

ReplyDeleteto so not that girl: you kan tie up the warp like they do in carpets; I've sewn the first and last weft with a stitch.
