autumn 3

I was making some rhubarb jam today; I know September is not really the time of the year to make rhubarb jam, but I saw some fresh shoots in mom's garden the other day, hence.
I made a mix with plums and lemon zeste, so the jam is yummy sour

and still want to make this chestnut cake
but this time with sweet chestnuts, ha!

mom's hydrangea

I was helping my mom with a garland of hydrangeas yesterday afternoon; the colors in the garland all come from one bush!
mom prepared the bouquets of the flowers with a wire while I was stucking them with pins in the straw ring
it was a nice job and a nice day :)
