This is what you need:
A worn out basket, some plastic bags in the colours
you like, a large darning needle and a pair of scissors
to cut the plastic strips.

you start weaving, only there where the basket is
worn out.
First in one direction, then...

in the opposit direction.
You can see on the photo that there are still some
weak parts, so...

you cut another strip from a soft plastic bag, like
those you find in the Turkish greengrocer's for example,
and do some additional stitches, only there where
it is needed.

Don't bother about the inside, that is of minor
importance :^)

  1. It looks so fantastic Renilde! Clever you. I really love it. Kx

  2. Renilde, wat een tip. En weet je wat ik dacht? Renilde moet zo stiekem enkele exemplaren waar ze werkt 'aanpakken'. Te zot om te wachten tot de tas wat versleten is.

  3. that is a great idea and it looks so nice!

  4. :) Ik zeg op elke post hetzelfde. "prachtig !!!" . Kan echt gewoon niets anders zeggen, alles wat je doet is zo schoon en inspirerend.

  5. Very nice - and a good little project for this weekend!
