I've found this skirt in the thrift store the other day, too big for
me, and far too long, but I very much like the print - remind
me a bit of Sonia Delaunay's designs - so,
my plan is to make a dress of it, quite simple, with shoulder straps;
at least there's enough material.
???
Went to see this movie, thrilling!
Good night & Sweet dreams :^)

ReplyDeleteTo Mandy: I promise to show the dress as soon as it's finished
did you see Take Shelter - amazing film, right? oddly enough, it makes me long for a good old fashion summertime storm which we don't seem to get here in northern California.
ReplyDeleteto nicomade:Yes, I saw TS, it's an incredible good movie!
ReplyDeleteThe storms in Belgium are really not comparable to those in the States, but as a child I liked to watch the lightnings at night, and I still do.
Have you seen 'tornano' yet, by Francis Alys?

ReplyDeleteGeweldig ! Oh, je nieuwe gehaakte kussen ziet er nu al geweldig uit.
ReplyDeletethat skirt looks very nice, good idea to make a dress out of it.
ReplyDeletei often buy textiles i like, old sheets or pillow covers, then i plan what to make out of them, a little blouse or a skirt or what..? but most of the time they just stay as they are, maybe i like the prints too much to cut the textile;)
Beautiful pattern and lovely colors, my favorite: indigo blue and white.
ReplyDeleteI just posted a Sonia Delaunay's painting on my blog and i'm searching its name.. If you know it, give a little help hihi ! Thanks!
