this queen has just got a mark on her back;
she's put in a cage for a few minutes to let the paint dry, if you do not, the worker bees will start to remove it immediately;
nowadays they use plastic tubes that look a bit like hair curlers, but they used to be much nicer in the past
on the second image you can see a homemade cage, I've got it from W long time ago
