happy weekend all!

July 28, 2012

Some domestic scenes.

I was so lucky today to find this rust-colored wool in the thrift store, probably from someone who has stopped weaving; I think this is the perfect color for another fur :^)
speaking of furs, I got an extra one for two weeks, one that is purring & lazy & fluffy, etc... remember Stella? Heavens she's become fat!

Baked apples with brown sugar, my favourite calorie bomb :^)
Happy weekend!

flowers.

Unfinished embroiderie on silk; the colours remind
me a bit of those of my new dress. A bit...
I've done this type of embroiderie a lot, always using a messed up
silkpainting as startingpoint.
recycling, you know :^)

... upcycling, thanks monica :)

My bedroom.

I'm very into soft pinks and nudes lately and...

this is my favourite blouse and...

this my favourite scarf
and..
I really need to clear out the bedroom, later maybe :^)
My wardrobe some time ago.

Issue 3 of Making Do is about
creating a new planet.
I've bought mine in Brussels, but you can order the zine here.
There's also this funny video.

Dark Moon mobile.

Thank you all for the sweet words on my previous post :)

Cherries & Sunshine.

'One must ask children and birds
how cherries and strawberries taste.'
my favourite Goethe quote :^)

I was browsing
Issey Miyake: Making Things;
that cape reminded me a bit on a series of silk
patchworks I made some time ago;
I planned to make little spreads of them,
but then I changed my mind and now they
are in boxes waiting for another application :)
here's the other one.

Wildflowers from my garden.

Goodnight.

by the way, love those Miyake shoes!

Hello :^)

I'm feeling kind of Sleeping Beauty; everything's
overgrown with Wisteria and Virginia Creeper, so
I have to cut back the leafage every other day,
but the light is gorgeous here; the pea embroiderie
is hanging in front of the window now.

That's me in the leafage, whooaah!

I've put some Cow Parsley in a vase, free and
for nothing.

Have a nice weekend everybody and thanks
for the sweet compliments on my previous post :^)

New life.

Isn't that a curious pattern for a fungus!
I must say I like the design, but I'm afraid it
will harm my rosemary; what shall I do;
any experts here?

The first photo is a piece of painted silk; to get
that pattern, you only have to sprinkle some salt
on the wet paint; the colours start to blend as a
matter of course.

Goodnight.

Headache today.

Playtime.

Again some trash I can't trow away.

The middle photo is a piece of silk patchwork;
accidentally colourmatch :-)

My new home, 4

Can't wait to move into my new place, the light
is so absolutely gorgeous here!

I'm on my ladder now;
that coloured square on the floor is my summerscarf;
for some time, I was very into heraldic style, with
clashing colours like these :-)

The orange scarf from some posts ago date from the same period.

Happy Weekend again!
