My mom's shelves are really bursting with books about plants and gardening, so when I'm there, I spend a lot of time browsing :) Recently I found one about ikebana, but my attention was drooping soon, for this 'art' is much more complicated than I had imagined and not easy to learn from a book, sigh.

I took another dive in my archive,  these are all pictures of last summer. Soon my livingroom will be transformed again in a jungle, a considerably expanded jungle, oh my! :^)
the strelitzia in the first pic has been outside  all summer, so it has grown a lot but I waited in vain for the flowers that wouln't come, maybe next summer :^)

A mixed lot, 16

Some random pictures from the last few weeks, just needed to clean up my archive a bit.
Made another cushion of wool scraps, but this time with more green and jade accents; more photos later.

The hairy 'thing' is a Cleistocactus straussi 'Christatus', found in a book on cacti; it could be the name of a prehistoric creature :^)

September walk.

Went for a walk to Hoboken Polder this afternoon, partly because I wanted to pick some rosehips to put into a new thriftstore vase,
but,
my arrangement with the hips turned out very poor,
so,
I'll figure out something else later this week :^)
At least I had a nice walk with good company; September is by far my favorite month of the year!
