At home with mom, 3.

 view from the boy's room

Family photo.
My mom far left; the little boy right in the middle will be my godfather later; the setup by the photographer is quite stiff but funny in my opinion; they look a bit like a bunch of firm bowling pins that do not want to be knocked down, that's family :^)
more detail on my flickr.

I'm sorry for my absence this week; wasn't really in the mood to make a blogpost, sigh.

White fatsia flowers, own crop :)
Have a nice weekend all!

Happy weekend all :^)

A little bit of sunshine.

I would like to know what wonderful creature has nibbled on the raspberry leaves, it almost looks like lace.

Hope your weekend was fine :^)

At home with mom, 2

My mom's shelves are really bursting with books about plants and gardening, so when I'm there, I spend a lot of time browsing :) Recently I found one about ikebana, but my attention was drooping soon, for this 'art' is much more complicated than I had imagined and not easy to learn from a book, sigh.

Orchid on mom's coffee table.
The jade cushion.
Have a nice weekend!

Some pictures of last summer.

I took another dive in my archive,  these are all pictures of last summer. Soon my livingroom will be transformed again in a jungle, a considerably expanded jungle, oh my! :^)
the strelitzia in the first pic has been outside  all summer, so it has grown a lot but I waited in vain for the flowers that wouln't come, maybe next summer :^)

Remember 'poes'?
love this summer house

A mixed lot, 16

Some random pictures from the last few weeks, just needed to clean up my archive a bit.
Made another cushion of wool scraps, but this time with more green and jade accents; more photos later.

The owl.

Another thrift store find.
The hairy 'thing' is a Cleistocactus straussi 'Christatus', found in a book on cacti; it could be the name of a prehistoric creature :^)
